Action on Development and Humanitarian Aid (ADHA) is a U.S.A-registered non-profit Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) focused on disaster relief and social justice. It works directly with affected communities and partners, including NGOs, UN agencies, and governments. ADHA enhances disaster preparedness, provides relief and recovery support, and helps marginalized groups achieve sustainable livelihoods. It also ensures access to essential services like water, sanitation, health, and education. ADHA works in Chad and Sudan.
A world where all individuals, especially the marginalized and disaster-affected, have the resilience, resources, and rights to live with dignity, security, and opportunity.
To save lives, protect vulnerable communities, and foster resilience by providing people-centered humanitarian aid, disaster preparedness, and sustainable development solutions. Through collaboration with partners, we ensure access to essential services, promote self-reliance, and advocate for policies that uphold human rights and social justice worldwide.
In 2010, a group of passionate humanitarians, driven by philanthropy and humanitarian principles, began voluntarily advocating for emergency relief for those affected by natural and manmade disasters in Syria, Darfur-Sudan, Iraq, Myanmar, Pakistan, and Somalia. Their efforts evolved into the concept that eventually led to the creation of ADHA, an organization based in the US dedicated to providing aid to those in need, regardless of their race, religion, gender, or political beliefs, to help them secure their rights and enhance their quality of life.
•Enabling the marginalized, disadvantaged and those at risk to achieve self-reliance through sustainable livelihoods.
• Providing access to basic social services (water, sanitation, hygiene, health and basic education) as well as skills training.
• Building resilience in communities at risk to reduce the risks and impact of disasters and providing them with people-centred and effective relief protection and recovery in the event of natural or man-made disasters.
