OUR IMPACT

Education in Emergencies (EiE)

In Chad we implemented interventions in Education in emergencies that involved offering quality learning opportunities for people of all ages during crises such as conflicts, natural disasters, and health-related emergencies. It includes early childhood development, primary and secondary education, non-formal education, technical and vocational training, higher education, and adult education. Education in these situations not only facilitates learning but also provides physical, psychosocial, and cognitive protection, which can be crucial for sustaining and saving lives.

OUR IMPACT

Food Security and Nutrition

Our projects play a crucial role in addressing the food crisis within the project area. We provide equal support to refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and local communities, focusing on medium-term food and nutrition security. By increasing the production of staple foods and promoting vegetable gardening in kitchen gardens, we aim to enhance overall food and nutrition security.

Women have equal access to our activities, and basic training in agricultural techniques, seed selection and good food and hygiene practices encourages more women to participate, fostering their independence and empowerment.

OUR IMPACT

Refresher Training for Community Animal health Workers (CAHWs)

CAHWs will undergo a three-week training program conducted by Veterinary officials from the Ministry of Animal Resources using the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) module. According to this module, CAHWs are required to participate in refresher training to enhance their skills, knowledge, and share experiences to improve livestock production and productivity. ADHA will organize a two-day refresher training session for CAHWs, focusing on areas such as animal production, health and hygiene, feeding, disease management and prevalence, vaccination, treatment techniques, and marketing. As part of a capacity-building strategy, CAHWs will also receive veterinary tool kits (including syringes, badizo, and guidelines on disease control) after the training to help them perform their duties effectively.

OUR IMPACT

Emergency Relief

Wars, earthquakes, epidemics, floods, violence, and hunger devastate lives and livelihoods when they occur. Beyond destroying homes, fields, and infrastructure, disasters also leave lasting social and economic scars. Many individuals lose their means of survival, and some even their loved ones. The emotional and financial impact can be overwhelming, often taking years to overcome. In these critical moments, ADHA steps in with emergency aid, supplying essential resources to those affected. During the recovery phase, it also works to strengthen communities’ resilience, ensuring they are better equipped to face future crises.
